Transit passes and rides for job seekers - 2 weeks in

I need a cheap way to get to several appointments. I can walk part of the way. Are there discounted passes?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 10 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
