I posted here 20 weeks ago when I was panicking about my layoff as an event coordinator. I do not usually post, so bear with me. Two tips made a real difference: keeping a log and asking for help early. Is there anything I can do for others?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
