This community helped me more than I expected after 12 years as a teaching assistant

I posted here 13 weeks ago when I was panicking about my layoff as a teaching assistant. Any experience at all would help. Two tips made a real difference: keeping a log and asking for help early. Is there anything I can do for others?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
