This community helped me more than I expected

I posted here 15 weeks ago when I was panicking about my layoff as a recruiter. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. I feel calmer and more organised now. What would help newcomers most?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
