I posted here 11 weeks ago when I was panicking about my layoff as an administrative assistant. I worked as an administrative assistant before this. Two tips made a real difference: keeping a log and asking for help early. What would help newcomers most?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
