I posted here 9 weeks ago when I was panicking about my layoff as a forklift operator. I have been trying to stay organised about it. Two tips made a real difference: keeping a log and asking for help early.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
