Simple budget for a tight month - any advice?

We are a household of 16 and the budget no longer works. I have been trying to stay organised about it. I listed needs and wants and cut a few subscriptions. Did lenders work with you?

A paper list of bills by due date helped me more than an app. I could see the month at a glance.
