Simple budget for a tight month after 4 years as a mechanic

I am $550 short each month and trying to find it. Any experience at all would help. I listed needs and wants and cut a few subscriptions. Did lenders work with you?

Check for energy assistance programmes. I got a credit that covered two bills.

I called each lender and asked for a hardship plan. Two agreed to lower payments for a few months.
