Simple budget for a tight month - 6 months and counting

We are a household of 7 and the budget no longer works. I am nervous about falling behind. Any apps or methods?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 6 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
