Recommendations for free job-search tools - first time posting

I need a résumé template that passes automated screening. There are 10 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. A spreadsheet with dates and follow-ups worked a little. Are there tools to avoid?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

Use a plain one-column résumé with standard headings. Mine got more replies after I simplified it.
