Recommendations for free job-search tools after 13 years as a quality inspector

I am tracking my applications in a notebook and want something better. There are 13 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. A spreadsheet with dates and follow-ups worked a little. Any good templates?

Use a plain one-column résumé with standard headings. Mine got more replies after I simplified it.
