Recommendations for free job-search tools - 9 weeks in

I am tracking my applications in a notebook and want something better. It has been a long 9 weeks. I do not want to pay for premium features. Are there tools to avoid?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 11 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
