Recommendations for free job-search tools - 9 months and counting

I am looking for free tools that do not spam me. It has been a long 4 weeks. A spreadsheet with dates and follow-ups worked a little. Are there tools to avoid?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 9 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
