Places that helped me after losing my job - what worked for you?

A neighbour pointed me to a programme that I wish I had known earlier. The library had résumé help and free computer time. Any other programmes worth trying?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 8 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
