Places that helped me after losing my job - first time posting

I want to share what helped me after being laid off as a medical assistant in Hartford. I do not usually post, so bear with me. The workforce centre ran a weekly job club. Any other programmes worth trying?

The job club at my workforce centre introduced me to two people who later referred me.

Thanks for this. The library also had printing and a quiet room that I used for phone interviews.
