Places that helped me after losing my job

I want to share what helped me after being laid off as a welding apprentice in Louisville. Any experience at all would help. The workforce centre ran a weekly job club. Any other programmes worth trying?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
