Places that helped me after losing my job - any advice?

I found a few free services in Cleveland that I did not know about. I am in Cleveland, in case local advice matters. The workforce centre ran a weekly job club. Any other programmes worth trying?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 14 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
