Places that helped me after losing my job

I want to share what helped me after being laid off as a payroll clerk in Hartford. I do not usually post, so bear with me. The library had résumé help and free computer time. What else is out there?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.

I found free tax help through a community volunteer programme. It saved me a fee.
