Phone and internet help for people out of work (update)

My home internet costs more than I can manage on unemployment. This is my first time dealing with any of this. I heard of low-cost plans for people with limited income. What else should I consider?

Keep the number you use for job applications, even if you change plans. Employers will call it.

Ask your internet provider about their low-income plan. They rarely advertise it.
