Phone and internet help for people out of work (update)

My home internet costs more than I can manage on unemployment. I am in Baltimore, in case local advice matters. Some applications need a computer. What else should I consider?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.

Ask your internet provider about their low-income plan. They rarely advertise it.
