Phone and internet help for people out of work, medical assistant here

I use my phone as my only connection. Any experience at all would help. I heard of low-cost plans for people with limited income. What did you switch to?

Libraries lend Wi-Fi hotspots in some towns. Mine lent one for three weeks.
