Phone and internet help for people out of work - any advice?

My home internet costs more than I can manage on unemployment. I worked as a customer-service rep before this. Employers call and email constantly. Did you qualify for any programmes?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 2 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

Libraries lend Wi-Fi hotspots in some towns. Mine lent one for three weeks.
