Phone and internet help for people out of work - any advice?

My home internet costs more than I can manage on unemployment. Any experience at all would help. Employers call and email constantly. What did you switch to?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
