Phone and internet help for people out of work - any advice?

I am worried about keeping my phone and internet on during my search. I do not usually post, so bear with me. Employers call and email constantly. What else should I consider?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 8 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
