Phone and internet help for people out of work - any advice?

I use my phone as my only connection. This is my first time dealing with any of this. Some applications need a computer. Did you qualify for any programmes?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 13 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
