Phone and internet help for people out of work - any advice?

My home internet costs more than I can manage on unemployment. I heard of low-cost plans for people with limited income.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

Libraries lend Wi-Fi hotspots in some towns. Mine lent one for three weeks.
