Phone and internet help for people out of work - any advice?

I am worried about keeping my phone and internet on during my search. There are 7 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. Some applications need a computer. Did you qualify for any programmes?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 8 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
