Phone and internet help for people out of work - any advice?

I use my phone as my only connection. There are 12 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. Employers call and email constantly. Did you qualify for any programmes?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
