Phone and internet help for people out of work after 6 years as an office manager

I use my phone as my only connection. There are 6 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. Some applications need a computer. What did you switch to?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 13 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
