Phone and internet help for people out of work after 4 years as a mechanic

My home internet costs more than I can manage on unemployment. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. Some applications need a computer. What else should I consider?

Ask your internet provider about their low-income plan. They rarely advertise it.
