Phone and internet help for people out of work after 12 years as a copywriter

I am worried about keeping my phone and internet on during my search. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. I heard of low-cost plans for people with limited income. What else should I consider?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 9 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
