Phone and internet help for people out of work - 3 months and counting

I am worried about keeping my phone and internet on during my search. Any experience at all would help. Employers call and email constantly. What else should I consider?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.

Libraries lend Wi-Fi hotspots in some towns. Mine lent one for three weeks.
