I use my phone as my only connection. I do not usually post, so bear with me. Some applications need a computer. Did you qualify for any programmes?

Libraries lend Wi-Fi hotspots in some towns. Mine lent one for three weeks.

Keep the number you use for job applications, even if you change plans. Employers will call it.
