Phone and internet help for people out of work - 12 months and counting

I use my phone as my only connection. It has been a long 16 weeks. I heard of low-cost plans for people with limited income. What else should I consider?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
