Phone and internet help for people out of work - 11 months and counting

My home internet costs more than I can manage on unemployment. There are 17 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. Some applications need a computer. What did you switch to?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
