Mental health while out of work - first time posting

Being out of work for 10 months has worn me down more than I expected. This is my first time dealing with any of this. I do not want to pretend I am fine. How do you ask friends for support?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 10 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
