Mental health while out of work - any advice?

I am trying to look after my mental health while I search. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. I exercise when I can and try to stay connected. How do you ask friends for support?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
