Mental health while out of work - any advice?

I miss my old team and the routine that came with being a teaching assistant. I am in Birmingham, in case local advice matters. Some days I feel numb. What helps you?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
