Mental health while out of work after 12 years as a production planner

Being out of work for 12 months has worn me down more than I expected. There are 12 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I do not want to pretend I am fine. How do you ask friends for support?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
