Local services for people out of work in Seattle - any advice?

I want to share what helped me after being laid off as an IT help-desk technician in Seattle. I have been trying to stay organised about it. The library had résumé help and free computer time. What else is out there?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
