Local services for people out of work in Sacramento - what worked for you?

I want to share what helped me after being laid off as a bookkeeper in Sacramento. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. The library had résumé help and free computer time. Any other programmes worth trying?

The job club at my workforce centre introduced me to two people who later referred me.
