Local services for people out of work in Sacramento (update)

I want to share what helped me after being laid off as a marketing coordinator in Sacramento. I have been trying to stay organised about it. The workforce centre ran a weekly job club. Any other programmes worth trying?

I found free tax help through a community volunteer programme. It saved me a fee.

The job club at my workforce centre introduced me to two people who later referred me.
