Local services for people out of work in Fresno - what worked for you?

I want to share what helped me after being laid off as a sales associate in Fresno. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. A food pantry near me has evening hours. Has anyone used the tax clinics?

The job club at my workforce centre introduced me to two people who later referred me.
