Local services for people out of work in Chicago (update)

A neighbour pointed me to a programme that I wish I had known earlier. A food pantry near me has evening hours.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 3 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

I found free tax help through a community volunteer programme. It saved me a fee.
