Local services for people out of work in Chicago after 14 years as a forklift operator

A neighbour pointed me to a programme that I wish I had known earlier. A food pantry near me has evening hours. What else is out there?

Call 211 to hear about local help with food, rent and utilities. It is free and open at all hours.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 8 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
