Local services for people out of work in Austin (update)

I want to share what helped me after being laid off as a customer-service rep in Austin. I do not usually post, so bear with me. The library had résumé help and free computer time. Any other programmes worth trying?

I found free tax help through a community volunteer programme. It saved me a fee.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
