Keeping my phone on while I search - first time posting

I am worried about keeping my phone and internet on during my search. I am in Tampa, in case local advice matters. I heard of low-cost plans for people with limited income. What else should I consider?

Keep the number you use for job applications, even if you change plans. Employers will call it.
