Keeping my phone on while I search

I am worried about keeping my phone and internet on during my search. This is my first time dealing with any of this. Some applications need a computer. What did you switch to?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
