Keeping my phone on while I search

I use my phone as my only connection. I worked as an event coordinator before this. Some applications need a computer. What else should I consider?

Libraries lend Wi-Fi hotspots in some towns. Mine lent one for three weeks.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
