Keeping my phone on while I search after 4 years as a software tester

I am worried about keeping my phone and internet on during my search. I heard of low-cost plans for people with limited income. What did you switch to?

Libraries lend Wi-Fi hotspots in some towns. Mine lent one for three weeks.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
